In 2001, he started his career and joined the VALE company, Brazilian Mining Industry, as an Industrial engineer, dedicated to the subjects safety process and the safety and occupational Health System implementation until 2003.
In 2003, he started his first experience in Oil and Gas industry and joined the Petrobras S.A, as an Industrial engineer, dedicating to subjects such as reliability engineering, risk management by giving support to a range of projects and also operational assets to achieve production and safety performance for 8 years. In 2006, he completed the certified Reliability professional by Reliasoft. In 2009, he became a Professor for the Safety Engineer Post Graduation program, Pontificia Catholic University, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. His current research interests include risk assessment methods and risk management. In 2011, he started his first international experience and joined the Reliasoft Corporation, Poland, as a Reliability Consultant working in international Oil and Gas projects.
In 2012, he joined the Bombardier transportation Division, Germany, as RAMS expert working on train projects by applying reliability engineering and safety engineering methods. Certified by IRIS Academy as RAM/LCC for the railway industry, certificate number 356.
In 2013, he joined the Genesis Oil and Gas Consultant, London, UK, as a Principal Reliability Engineer, working by applying a range of reliability engineering and risk assessment methods for Oil and Gas industry projects all over the world.
In 2015, he started to work as independent RAMS Engineer consultant creating the ECC (Eduardo Calixto Consultant) and supporting different companies such as BQR reliability Engineering LTD, Scott Lister and Philotech. (www.eduardocalixto.com)
He has been writing a range of papers for the last ten years about reliability, risk analysis & management and safety engineering methods about a variety of cases and applied techniques for different industries such as Oil and Gas, metallurgic, Railway and space and defence. He’s been presenting several papers at relevant scientific conferences such as Working on Safety (2006-2008-2012), ESREL (2006-207-2008-2010-2012-2013-2014-2015), Safety Technical Seminar by UDT in Poland (2012-2013-2014). His first book published in 2012 with the title “ Gas and Oil Reliability Engineering: Modeling and Analysis became a reference best seller. From 2010 to 2014, his new book was published in March 2016 with the title “Safety Science: Methods to prevent incidents and worker damages at the workplace. He’s been awarded the Who’s Who in the world, Engineer and life achievement by Marquis Who’s who award, US, for his outstanding research and applied for work in the area of safety, reliability engineering and risk management in 2013, 2014,2015,2016 and 2017. In April 2017, ECC had his first exhibition at ARDC 2017 in Milan.
